“ I was vigorously in search of something . It was a dark wood . I was moving faster . It seemed that the mountain was very much close to me. I needed to take some shelter for that night . Those labyrinthine ups and downs of that hilly road , were quite hazardous and unpredictable as well. Somehow, I felt that I was searching for my home , that had been lost for some decades. I was climbing upwards , finding no valley to take some rest . I was very much eager to reach at my long awaited destination. Sometimes I thought , it might be around that dark wood . Sometimes , I went on faster , thinking that I might find that on that mountain top . I was moving and moving . A dark night it was . But , I didn`t have any care of that . I was simply drawn to something … But suddenly , some mysterious energy jerked me for once in an unseen order . That dark night , suddenly went off, leaving me once again in the midst of that wood, only to feel that the eastern sky was getting scarlet again . I felt , that mountain , was as far from me as before. And still, I had been over that same place. So , what was I searching for ? I didn`t find that answer . But for some unknown reason , I felt very much happy , inside. Tears came into my eyes . I felt it like a home , an eternal abode of bliss and shelter!”
This was only an expression of a writer whom I met , during my visit at Manali . It just came in a way of a casual conversation , that we used to have at a roadside cafeteria . He used to share his experiences , while having any creative crisis that more or less we all have during any of such non- creative hours when we rigorously try to engage ourselves to create something special. In those days he was trying to portray a character of an archeologist who had lost his way, and quite in a dejected mood , trying to figure out the ideal way, back to his home . And it was in the course of that period , he had such a dream of losing his own home and it was only that experience , he shared with me on that afternoon.
When transcendental consciousness leads you to find your higher calling
I feel , you`re eager enough to know where was that archeologist trying to reach ? Is it the same place that the writer also longed for in his own life? If you`ve this intuitive feeling , I would rather say that you`re right my dear. Sometimes in your life , you may see that you`re lost in some way , finding no track to map out your next destination . At that very moment , I would tell you , never get bothered , try to peep into your innerland . There you may find some mesmerizing answers . Though your logical mind may not validate those solutions, but if you allow your consciousness to expand its horizon, you may perceive ; there`s is another kingdom , outside your known territory , beyond the reach of this tangible world, very much precious and intangibly creative.
Some of you may feel that the actual home always needs to be build, bricks by bricks with minute effort and diligence on a solid ground of material plane. Though I`ll not dishearten those of you who are preferring to build this kind of home , as there is nothing wrong in achieving such material goals. But have you ever felt any lack in spite of achieving all of these material success? If so, let me tell you that this lack is nothing, but on the other hand it`s trying to engage you to explore something different. It`s nothing, but a spiritual quest as I feel in order to search your ideal destination, your true purpose on this planet. And it is only through this spiritual quest you may discover the deeper meaning of your higher calling. A call to realign yourself to your higher self. A call that`s seemingly lost but buried deep inside your entity. And , I feel this call can only be answered if you reconnect your soul, that eternal flowing fountain of your entity to that universal divine energy if not in a tangible way , then in a way of a transcendental consciousness that always inspires you to believe in the existence of an unseen territory that continually prepares you for a higher purpose , you`re destined for , beyond this tangible world of material progression.
Such was the case of that writer . Frankly speaking , he was also struggling with that same crisis . Though, to some extent , its right to interpret that as a creative crisis. But on a deeper level that was something different. As a result of which , that night he had that unexpected dream . Some of you may think it was only a symbolic form of expression of his story line that came into his dream in a way of releasing his thoughts; the search of an archeologist who had lost his way , back to his home . Though it may be true on an apparent level , but if you fathom deep into it, you may have a different realization . You may also feel that the writer was also on a journey , on a quest to explore himself . He was also searching for a special connection to his home that had been lost for a long time , he felt. This was the reason that his higher self was screaming inside , continually reminding him of his true purpose . That dream was nothing but an image of his subconscious search for an ideal home . Quite unexpectedly , while he was having that dream , all on a sudden , he felt some special energy started to fill his entity . He didn`t know from where it came but he felt it like an eternal home . It may startle you, you may feel , how is it possible? As in his dream he had not reached at his destination . So, What made him to feel so happy and content ? Here at this juncture , lies the mystery itself . But , let me tell you one thing . You may be surprised to know , that we all are on the same page , searching for our destination but never finding that ideal one . As a result of that we`re getting frustrated but never letting us allow to lay bare the mystery , hidden at the core of our being; the address of our ideal home, since the primordial time of our existence.
Yearning for the HOME is the only way to find peace and liberation
While you`re climbing up the happy stairs of your life , usually you don`t have that much need or time to look back , to pause for a while . Then you`re just moving on . Then , you`ve everything to make you feel satisfied . So , on an apparent level, there`s no need to think over it deeply . During this phrase of gaining material prosperity , the undercurrent of your ego always pushes you forward , and as a result of that your Survival self has nothing to do but only to be a slave at his hand . And at the same time , you may feel that you`re not happy inside and a deep sense of conflict gets started to brim over your Inter- mediatory self . In spite of all the material luxuries , a sense of lack, a sense of losing your shelter you may start to feel within, resulting the loss of your center, the guiding principal of your existence.
On a very first place , while your Inner Mind prepares you to have this realization , you may feel perturbed and a deeper sense of hopelessness unexpectedly gets started to pervade your entity . You may feel , your entire foundation is not stable enough . As a result of that a sense of uncertainty and that related existential crisis may start to create bubbles of boredom and anxiety , within yourself . This is also the cause of an unexplained dilemma that you may face for a while , on the layer of your external conscious mind. You may start to feel , your entire existence is crumbling down . You`ve nowhere to go and your craving for that ideal destination is nothing , but only an elusive image to foster . And here , at this juncture, your inner self may put forth a question before you; “ Is it that right Home , I`m destined for ?” You may pause for a moment but from then on, quite unexpectedly your ideal journey begins, once again for a different search , for an ideal Home !
For somedays , you may wander around thinking , why is this happening? While you`ve everything to sustain , so why are you feeling this lack ? The questions may come around like the swirling mists , blurring your vision and leaving you once again hopeless with all your existential despairs. But , I would suggest you , my dear , don`t get disheartened ! May be , you`re just on a journey to find that eternal peace, your soul has been longing for. May be, in the course of gaining material prosperity, somehow you`ve neglected your soul`s desire , the prime life force of your being . And here, this sense of homelessness , you`re experiencing is nothing but a feeling of losing that center and the deepest urge of recomposing yourself to your true home, that eternal abode of shelter and security.
In a way, its nothing but a spiritual quest to recognize your true being, allowing your spirit once again to make you feel not as a single entity but to feel the harmony , the wholeness inside . Then all the conflicts will start to blur automatically . And you may start to feel the presence of that ideal destination within the core of your being , nowhere else , nowhere outside. Your face will be rejoiced again with a surprising divine satisfaction. Once again , you may start to feel , you`re complete and content, liberated even being on this mortal realm and truly connected to your dream destination , the house of eternity and bliss .
Nurturing a garden to feel the presence of your HOME
In order to mingle up your being to that stream of harmony , you need to open up your heart`s desire so that your soul can play her flute of eternity without any hindrance. If you listen to her song , your mind will automatically lead you towards a different state of consciousness , where this song of homecoming may fill your entity , once again with a sense of celebration , a celebration of your heart`s desire , a celebration for that destination, you`re waiting for . And through her song a deeper realization may come along, quite unexpectedly like a sudden flash of lightning. From then on, you may start to perceive that eternal cord , you`ve with her. You may hear her voice , coming from the deepest corner of your own entity;
“ A thousand times you came/ a thousand times you`ll be back/ is it really a puzzle to solve/ or another Destination to halt/ hope , you`re ready enough/ to wrap up your tiny packsack/ to find out that place/ that may fill you up, once again/ with that beauty inside/ with that much awaited grace !”
So , now its time to behold yourself , not under the tiny framework of a tangible destination , rather under the tapestry of an eternal energy where self- recognition is the only medium to feel and reach over that destination . And in a process of this journey , you`ll never feel bored , or overburdened , rather enjoy every moment, having realized the higher truth of eternity itself . Here liberation doesn`t mean to leave this planet , rather being fully aware of your existence on this mortal realm , enjoying every moment , seeing the blue herons and the chirping chipmunks , finding their way here and there . You may feel that destination around those valleys, while you`re making your tiny steps towards those mountain of your dream , or you may have that feelings while standing on a solitary beach only to see the horizon where the Sun meets the sea at every dawn .
You can also feel her presence , even when you`re surrounded with others , in your workplaces or in a festive gatherings . Whenever and wherever you go , she`ll always guide and shelter your being , bringing a higher state of consciousness within yourself . And , I think , this would be the only way to feel the presence of your eternal home. Through out our entire life , we all are searching for this , but never have noticed, within . But there she is . If you feel her presence , inside your entity , every moment may appear before you an eternity itself . Feel and enjoy every moment of your life . Here on this planet, every hour has a special significance, every moment is a special journey in itself . So you need not to chase for a destination . She`ll automatically come around and say ;
“ Are you feeling lonely ? Here I`m with you and will be forever . Everywhere you tread , along the dusty roads, towards those blue mountains or along the ways where the stars are the only living creatures to talk with . I`ll be there for you . Feel Me , smell Me and live with Me , right from the deepest corner of your entity . Feel My presence during those hours when you feel that you`re alive, feel My presence in the eternal truth of your Being .”
Here the ` Garden ` is nothing but the garden of your own life (the experiences you`re gaining from your life ) that you need to nurture in that way, so that she can bring along that eternal peace and happiness within your being. Let`s stay tuned to her song that`s continually inspiring and guiding you to find your home , inside . Just pay heed to her . She`s still singing ;
“ …You`re running to and fro/ perturbed a bit , which way to go/ The `Destination` , You need to meet/ which way, you`re desperate to know/ forgetting the truth, you`re already with Me/ to feel eternity, within!”
